Our Work

Children don’t learn to regulate emotions alone. When we help them to calm, they develop the skills to eventually calm themselves.

Without this scaffolded support, children can run into difficulties with managing their BIG emotions and these difficulties can continue to play out anywhere up to a life time; negatively impacting their self-esteem, relationships and day-to-day life.

Self-regulation is a critical skill that most children learn fairly early however some, including those with additional needs, attention deficits and adverse childhood experiences seem to find self-regulation harder to manage. Fortunately, there’s a solution: self-regulation strategies CAN be learned. We offer this learning through our C.A.L.M Approach™ programme. We work directly with children and young adults and we also help the parents/carers, and school staff who are supporting them.
